The 2025 National Secondary School MTB Champs will take place in October in Nelson, New Zealand—a chance for young riders to showcase their skills on Nelson’s world-class trails. Nelson’s renowned trails will challenge riders with their technical features and variety. The National Secondary Schools Mountain Bike Champs are likely to include trails such as:

  • Codgers MTB Park – Home to flow trails like Firball and Turners, as well as enduro-style tech trails like Top Dog, Hot Box, and IV Line.
  • Sharlands MTB Park – Featuring technical descents with steeper dropping corners, trails like Mr Chomper and Loam Ranger provide a real challenge for the unprepared.
  • Fringed Hill – Known for its steep and demanding 600m+ vertical descent downhill runs.
