Hi everyone,
some simply AMAZING PROGRESS by the kids over winter, won’t be long until Term Four and coaching with no night-lights. We will publish the October School holidays programs before the end of August!. Please note that ALL SCHOOL HOLIDAY PROGRAM bookings are 100% refundable if cancelled due to rain. We are based in Nelson, New Zealand and blessed with over 400kms of singletrack within a 45 minute drive of the centre of town so lets get those kids out riding and improving their skills and confidence.

After School Programs
For Term Four 2024 After School Mountain Bike Coaching programs I suggest parents “assume” that their kids will end up in pretty much the same day/time slots as Term Three, UNLESS YOU NEED TO CHANGE, in which case include notes about this in the booking form. I have left enabled the option to pay half now, and the balance before coaching starts in the second week of Term Four (Monday 21st of October), and I will finalise everything in the week of 14th to 21st of October. As always the booking link takes you to a PLACEHOLDER date, fill in the details there, and then we will allocate the groups.
October School Holidays.
We have a full team for most of the school holidays, Alistair will be around first week, and Coach Ben and a number of his assistants will be here to look after your kids in the school holidays with the usual exciting combo of different activities available.
NOTE: We are overhauling the October 2024 school holiday program and will publish it before the end of August, we are trying to make the program a bit clearer so please be patient.
For reference, here is what we did in the July school holidays, but stay tuned for a new and exciting selection of activities.
“Mentored Mondays”: this is a great opportunity for kids to ride their mountain bikes to a slightly more advanced trail than they usually do under supervision of coach Ben, and with lots of coaching around “how to make good decisions when scouting harder tracks”. Minimum of FOUR kids of around the same level required. This is cheap as chips at only $40 for roughly three hours.

Gravity “Day Care” Sessions, this is the big version of the Sendy Sundays we have been holding. SIX HOURS of supervised awesomeness at the Field of Dreams plus snacks and sausages! Suitable for kids of all ages, and a great way for parents to keep the kids out of their hair from 10am-4pm on a school holiday day. Cost is $100, but after your 3rd session just ask for a discount code to go for half-price. Over 20 drops of different heights, TWO airbags, and a mulch jump plus experienced coaches means the progression is off the charts on mountain bike drops, jumps, tricks, cornering, body position and more. Gravity “Enduro/DH Camp”: Wednesday the 10th of July (Friday the 12th could be a rain postponement day).We are very lucky to have multi-year national mountain bike Downhill champion (also with years of experience racing overseas), Kieran Bennett put his hand up to coach ONE and ONE ONLY special Enduro/DH Camp these school holidays, STRICTLY LIMITED SPOTS, DON’T MISS OUT ON THIS OPPORTUNITY. There is a small possibility Loui Harvey might be able to offer a session in week two of the holidays but we won’t know until last minute, so grab a spot on Kieran’s camp so you don’t miss out.Meet at the shop at 9am and take the shuttle up to the top of one of Nelson’s iconic DH or Enduro trails (629 or Gamble/Jurassic level) with Kieran and coach Ben, one of our drivers will take you guys up and drop you to session your way down on your mountain bikes. Then meet at the bottom after a bite to eat and head back up to do two or three shuttle runs, wrapping up at around 3pm.Aim is to focus on the froth around current Junior and Senior kiwis overseas racing at the international level and help these kids dream about getting to that level themselves and gaining an insight into some of the prep needed to really have a solid go of it overseas or at home over a sustained career like you have had.We also “incept” ideas around nutrition, stretching, off the bike working out, psychology etc from Kieran’s race experience and hide it under a solid layer of demos, line-choice, sessioning, video analysis etc. Ideally some good instagram footage as well. Plus some follow-me or follow-you gopro footage.
