Gravity Nelson is proud to be the only supplier of Santa Cruz, Juliana and Evil bikes on the top of the South Island of New Zealand. We also sell Transition Bikes, as well as Mondraker which make an array of affordable high-quality Electric MTBs and non-assisted MTBs. Exciting times to be alive!
We have a steady stock of used rentals, freshly built custom builds and stock bikes ready to be taken home. If these bikes are not what you are looking for then we can pre-order other models, colours, sizes and build kits for you. 2. What is possible with a custom bike build?
Custom mountain bike builds are exciting because of how individual we can make each bike. They aren’t necessarily an exercise in building expensive bikes, many custom builds are carefully thought out to provide maximum durability in the places that matter, cost savings where it won’t effect performance, and calculated trade-offs between price, quality and weight. 3. Which off the shelf bike do you recommend?
Gravity Nelson is focused on helping you get the best bike for your riding style and preferences and for the trails you ride, this can be so different person to person that we highly recommend you come in for a chat, we simply can’t just recommend a bike without getting to know what you want the bike for. When customers come in for a chat we usually ask them the following questions so we can correctly recommend the right bike for them:
a. What are your favorite trails? or favorite riding areas?
b. How often do you ride?
c. What style of riding do you prefer? uphill, downhill, enduro, bike-packing etc. Roughly what percentage of your riding is each style?
d. What is your current (or what was your previous) bike, what did or didn’t you like about that bike?
e. Are there any new bike models, brands or trends you have heard about that you would like us to specifically look at for you?
